This traditional concert ukulele draws inspiration from traditional Hawaiian body adornment. The designs, which were typically monochromatic and tattooed in black on brown skin, featured strong geometric patterns and symbols reflective of the natural world of the islands such as stones, waves, fish, sharks, turtles, rain, sun, and birds. Our design specifically focuses on waves and shark teeth, which are also used as fret markers.

The electric model of this ukulele offers the additional advantage of an onboard preamp. The specifications include a laser-etched tattoo design by Alex Morgan, a tenor body made of select mahogany, mahogany back/sides, a neck made of natural mahogany, a rosewood fretboard and bridge, and no preamp. The scale measures 19" with a nut size of 1 5/16. The finish is satin and a gig bag is included.

This ukulele is perfect for players seeking excellent sound quality at an exceptional value. It combines the beauty of traditional Hawaiian body art with elements inspired by the Pacific Islands. The design of a Hawaiian turtle, known as "honu," symbolizes longevity and endurance and is rendered in a Polynesian tattoo style. The fret markers are uniquely shaped to resemble shark teeth.

With its tenor body and construction made of mahogany, this ukulele produces a clear and resonant sound.
